The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will organise the second Mega National Lok Adalat on December 6 at the judicial complex.
The adalat will be held under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) and Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HSLSA).
District and sessions judge and DLSA chairman Deepak Gupta said the second adalat would be held from the Supreme Court to taluk courts across the country for settlement of all matters, including criminal compoundable cases, cases under Negotiable Instruments Act under section 138, motor accident claim tribunal cases, matrimonial/family court cases, labour disputes and land acquisition cases.
He said civil disputes, revenue cases, electricity and water bill disputes, cases relating to sales tax, income tax, property tax, forest act cases, cantonment board matters, railway claims, disaster compensation, pre-litigation issues would also be taken up during the adalat.
Gupta said the Lok Adalat was a unique justice delivery system where after the litigation came to an end, there would be no further appeal, thus saving both time and money.
He said availing the services from the adalat was inexpensive and a written application was sufficient to avail the services.
Gupta said the litigation process was simple and most of the cases were settled by mutual understanding between the two parties.
He added that the main objective of Lok Adalats was to provide an alternative to the mainstream legal system.
