On Friday, Mumbai witnessed the highest 24-hour rainfall in a decade. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), suburbs received 283.4mm rain while south Mumbai recorded 208.8mm rain between 8.30am on Thursday and 8.30am on Friday.
