Mysuru and KSR Bengaluru railway stations certified ‘Eat Right Station’ by FSSAI
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has certified the Mysuru Railway Station and the Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna (KSR) Bengaluru Station as 'Eat Right Station' with a 5-star rating.
In a positive news for Karnataka, two railway stations in the state have been awarded the 'Eat Right Station' certificate with a 5-star rating by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), the Ministry of Railways said on Tuesday.

The stations to be given the certification are - the Mysuru Railway Station and the Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna (KSR) Bengaluru Station of South Western Railway (SWRRLY).
The 'Eat Right Station' certification is awarded by the FSSAI to railway stations that fulfil all criteria to ensure safe and wholesome food is provided to passengers. A station is awarded the certificate after a third-party agency, which is FSSAI-empanelled, conducts an audit where ratings from 1 to 5 are given.
The FSSAI checks parameters such as compliance with food safety and hygiene, healthy diets, food waste management, promotion of local and seasonal food and promotion and awareness on food safety and healthy diets.
The Ministry of Railways announced that both stations have been certified as ‘Eat Right Stations’ with a 5-star rating, tweeting, “Only the best for our Passengers! Mysuru Railway Station & KSR Bengaluru Station of @SWRRLY have been certified as 'Eat Right Station' with a 5 star rating by @fssaiindia.”
Other stations awarded with the certificate include the Visakhapatnam railway station, Mumbai Central railway station, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, the Anand Vihar railway station in Delhi, Vadodara railway station, etc.
