Chandigarh: PGIMER scales up walk-in OPD services, cuts down tele-consultation
PGIMER departments will utilise their staff to their maximum handling capacity for the physical OPDs, while tele-consultation will be provided by some departments only
In view of the decline in Covid-19 patients, the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has decided to scale up its walk-in out-patient department (OPD) services and reduce the tele-consultation facility.

The departments will utilise their staff to their maximum handling capacity for the physical OPDs, while tele-consultation will be provided by some departments only.
The hospital will allow walk-in registrations from 8 am to 10 am at the New OPD, Advanced Cardiac Centre, Advanced Eye Centre and Oral Health Sciences Centre, while the timings will be 8 am to 11 am at the Advanced Paediatrics Centre.
Tele-consultation facility will be available only for ENT, lung cancer and cardiology clinics from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. It has been discontinued for paediatrics orthopaedics, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, eye and dental OPDs.
Consultation for paediatrics (medicine and surgery) will also be available online.
