J&K police, security forces conduct mock drill at Qazigund rly station

Ahead of Republic Day, Jammu and Kashmir Police along with CAPF, GRPF, fire & emergency service on Monday conducted a mock drill at Qazigund railway station, said officials.

Mock drill was conducted to assess emergency response mechanisms and preparedness in handling critical situations, they added.
“The mock drill was held to prepare field forces to respond promptly to any untoward incident especially of a terror nature with quick and safe response and to assess the security response time, coordination, and effectiveness. The exercise also aimed to identify areas for improvement and streamline the response mechanism. A team of specialist officers of Kulgam police, including SDPO Qazigund, CAPF, GRPF, fire and emergency service participated in the said exercise,” the police spokesman said.
Kulgam senior superintendent of police Anayat Ali Chowdhary said the exercise was done to check the efforts of security forces present in enhancing its emergency response capabilities. “The mock drill exercise is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our emergency response mechanisms and provide effective services to the community,” he said.
