Ludhiana man accused of kidnapping assaults, molests victim’s mother

Accused of abducting a youth and thrashing him, a man assaulted his mother after barging in their house on Friday, Raikot police said.

According to the woman, the accused tore her clothes and also molested her.

The accused had been forcing her to withdraw the kidnapping case which she had lodged against him.

The man has been identified as Palwinder Singh of Maherana Kalan village of Raikot.

His wife Charanjit Kaur and sons Harshpreet Singh alias Hassu and Amritpal Singh have also been named in the FIR.

The woman told the police that she had gone to her cattle shed when Palwinder Singh, along with his two sons, barged in there.

“The accused started abusing me and forced me to withdraw the case. When I refused, they assaulted me and even tore my clothes,” she said.

She alleged that the accused have also molested her. “When I ran out of the house to save myself, Charanjit Kaur turned up there. She dragged me inside the house where the accused thrashed me,” she mentioned in her complaint.

The woman added that the accused had abducted her son and thrashed her.

She had lodged an FIR against them at Sadar police station of Mandi Ahmedgarh. The accused were threatening her for a long time to withdraw the complaint, she said.

ASI Sayad Shakeel, who is investigating the case, said the FIR has been registered under sections 323, 452, 354, 294, 506 and 34 of the IPC against the accused.

A hunt is on to nab them, he added.
