A day on, the Tibba police arrested three men on Friday for robbing a 21-year-old of ₹4,000 and his mobile phone after threatening him with a sharp-edged weapon. The police have recovered a motorcycle used in the crime and the weapon from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Akash, Simranjot Singh of Namdev Colony and Akash Bawa of new Star City Colony.
The FIR has been lodged following the statement of the victim, Rohit Kumar, 21, of Bhola Colony. Rohit stated that he was going to the market and when he was near Jagirpur Road, the three men on a motorcycle waylaid and robbed him.
Assistant sub-inspector Sukhdev Singh, who is investigating the case, said that the trio was arrested from Jagirpur Road following a tip-off.
A case under Section 379-B of Indian Penal Code has been registered at Moti Nagar police station. More important information has been expected from the accused during questioning.
