The complainant said that the accused was harassing her for a long time.

The accused has been identified as Sukhjit Singh of Akhara village.

The victim, who is a resident of Hathur, said that on Friday, she was present at the centre when the accused came and borrowed a pen from her and left. He returned after some time and asked her to come inside the centre on the pretext of taking measurements for installing a door.

As she went inside, the accused held her arm and molested her. She raised an alarm following which the accused escaped from the spot.

The woman said that she immediately informed the senior medical officer about the incident and lodged a police complaint.

Sub-inspector Jugraj Singh, incharge at police post Kaunke Kalan, said a case under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC has been lodged against the accused and a hunt is on for his arrest.
