Maloya: Six year-old girl raped, accused arrested from Uttar Pradesh
During investigation, police received information that the accused had fled to Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. A special team was deputed, using technical surveillance and location tracking, the accused was apprehended on February 27 from Ghazipur.
Police arrested a 54-year-old man for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl inMaloya. The accused works at a scrap shop in Maloya.

On reaching the spot, the victim’s mother informed the police that she had been searching for her daughter when she saw her coming out of a nearby house.
The child hugged her mother in fear and said the 54-year-old man had taken her inside his house and touched her private parts.
The mother further alleged that she noticed bleeding from her daughter’s private parts. Based on her statement, an FIR was registered at the Maloya police station under Section 65(2) (rape of girl under age of 12) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
