Normalcy returning at Amritsar airport; 2 of 24 IndiGo flights cancelled
Of the total 24 IndiGo flights operated at the airport, only two were cancelled on Wednesday, with full normalcy expected in a day or two
After days of disruption, flight operations have started normalising at Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, director Bhupendra Singh announced on Wednesday.

Of the total 24 IndiGo flights operated at the airport, only two were cancelled on Wednesday, with full normalcy expected in a day or two.
While addressing a press conference, Singh said,“The airport management has undertaken several proactive measures to ensure smooth operations. A Special Control Centre has been established at the airport to monitor daily operations, coordinate with airlines and provide real-time assistance to passengers.”
“To further strengthen on-ground support, dedicated helpdesks, manned by IndiGo staff, have been positioned at key locations within the terminal. IndiGo’s team is assisting passengers with refunds, rescheduling of tickets and addressing any queries related to baggage or travel arrangements, ensuring prompt and courteous service,” he said.
Singh further said, “To improve the passenger experience, dedicated helpline numbers have been operationalised for inquiries, while additional seating arrangements have been made at the terminal for passenger comfort. Regular updates on flight cancellations and operational changes are being shared through the airport’s official social media handles to keep passengers informed.”
