Ramban accident: Body of missing boy found after 20 days
Police have already registered a case and arrested the four accused: Surjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Digvijay Singh, and Keval Singh, all residents of Ramban
Body of Tanveer Ahmed Chopan, 18, who went missing on April 12 after he jumped into Bisleri Nullah to escape four alleged cow vigilantes who were chasing him, has been recovered from a stream near Digdol in Ramban district on Saturday, said officials.

The deceased, Tanveer Ahmed Chopan, was a resident of Mundkhal Pogal.
According to reports, Tanveer was travelling from Jammu with a cow and two calves when four persons in vehicles allegedly intercepted and chased him near Makarkoot along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
To escape the attack, he jumped into the stream and had been missing since then. NDRF, SDRF, army, police and volunteers of local NGOs were searching for the body.
“The body was finally spotted in the stream near Digdol on Saturday and subsequently retrieved by searchers,” said a police officer.
He said the body was decomposed and had been moved to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have already registered a case and arrested the four accused: Surjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Digvijay Singh, and Keval Singh, all residents of Ramban.
A special investigation team, headed by Banihal sub-divisional police officer Surinder Singh Biloria, is probing the case.
