Inspector Sachin of the vigilance bureau (Karnal range) said during his remand, the DTP revealed about his allegiance with the tehsildar in many bribery cases adding that they were collecting bribe money for each other.

“The DTP told us that of the 78 lakh seized from him, 14.5 lakh bribe money related to some NOC clearances was given to him by the tehsildar. The tehsildar had also given a big amount to Vikram for investment purposes,” he said.

He added that many documents related to more properties have been recovered from Vikram’s Panchkula residence during his remand.

“Raj Baksh will be presented before court on Tuesday along with Vikram and a remand will be sought for both. However, the DTP is not cooperating with us,” Sachin said, adding that Karnal residents can report to the bureau if they gave bribe to any of these officers and their identity will be kept a secret.

The DTP was arrested from his residence in Sector 6 along with his driver Balbir on Friday. After this, the bureau had recovered unaccounted cash of 78.64 lakh, jewellery, documents pertaining to agricultural land, a flat, 12 plots, and investments in shares, mutual funds and crypto currencies.

The bureau had earlier said the accused DTP had facilitated development of illegal colonies and taken money to stop them from being demolished.
