A 34-year-old woman and her son were killed, while two others including her daughter were seriously injured after their jeep, which was not parked correctly, rolled down a gorge in Kulandar village on Drang-Trayambli-Katindi Road in Mandi around midnight on Sunday.

While Guddi Devi and her 11-year-old son lost their lives in the mishap, two girls aged 15 and 12 were injured. The girls have been admitted to Zonal Hospital, Mandi.
Mandi superintendent of police Shalini Agnihotri said the victims had gone to attend a wedding and returned home late at night. The driver, Kaku Ram, parked the jeep outside his home but as he climbed down, the jeep rolled back and plunged into a 300m gorge. A case was registered.
