A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by a group of people near ESIC Hospital bus stand in Okhla Phase-1 in south Delhi on Saturday night. Police said one suspect has been detained and is being interrogated to ascertain the exact cause leading to the murder.

Deputy commissioner of police (southeast) Hemant Tiwari said at around 10.15pm on Saturday, Okhla police station received a call regarding a stabbing incident on Maa Anandmayee Marg near ESIC Hospital bus stand.

A police team reached there and found that a man named Raju, 30, a resident of Mazdoor Kalyan Camp, had been attacked with a sharp weapon by some men. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared dead.

“We have registered a case of murder and multiple teams have been formed to identify and nab the killers. One suspect has been detained and many people are being rounded up,” added DCP Tiwari.
