An under-construction building collapsed at Nicholson Road near Kashmiri Gate in Delhi on Monday. Six to eight people are feared trapped, the Delhi Fire Service said.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) were called in.

Deputy commissioner of police, North, Sagar Kalsi said a PCR call was received regarding the building collapse at Nicholson Road, adding the local police, fire service and personnel of the DDMA reached the spot immediately.

“Rescue operation is on in full swing. So far, eight persons have been rescued, all were workers on the site,” he said.
