Delhi Metro: Blue Line services impacted due to technical snag

The entire Blue Line has been impacted due to a snag in the OHE (overhead equipment) at Yamuna Bank station. The DMRC said services were normal on all other lines.

Services across the Blue Line corridor of the Delhi Metro were impacted on Monday due to a technical snag.

Blue Line connects Dwarka Sector-21 in Delhi and Noida Electronic City, along with a branch line to Vaishali.

In a statement, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said train services between Yamuna Bank and Indraprastha station of the Blue Line were “affected from 6.35pm-8pm today to undertake the repair work of a broken contact wire (part of OHE) on the UP Line going towards Dwarka due to bird hitting the OHE/pantograph of the train”.

It said services were normal on all other lines.

The entire Blue Line has been impacted due to a snag in the OHE (overhead equipment) at Yamuna Bank station. Trains are being run at a slower speed than usual.

The branch line to Vaishali diverges from the main Blue Line at Yamuna Bank metro station.
