Delhi man, allegedly a drug addict, murders grandma, parents and sister

A 25-year-old man allegedly killed his grandmother, parents and sister at their residence in southwest Delhi’s Palam following a quarrel on Tuesday night, a police officer said. The accused has been arrested.

Deputy police commissioner (Southwest) Manoj C said a person reported noises in his neighbourhood around 10:30pm.

"When police reached the spot, they found the door of the family’s home bolted from inside...[the] door was broken...four people were found dead and the accused was seen trying to escape. He was overpowered and caught," he said.

Investigators cited preliminary investigation and said Keshav quarrelled with his family on Tuesday over his lack of a steady job. They added Keshav was allegedly addicted to drugs and lost his job. His family would repeatedly tell him to mend his ways.
