Rwo held for assaulting salesman, looting liquor store in Sohna
Police recovered ₹5,200 from the accused arrested in Abheypur village. A third suspect remains absconding, officials said.
Two suspects were arrested on Saturday for allegedly assaulting a liquor store salesman and looting cash and liquor bottles from a liquor store at Damdama in Sohna, police said.

Police said the incident took place on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when three men barged into the store and allegedly assaulted sales executive Vikas Jaiswal on the head with a liquor bottle before fleeing with cash and several liquor bottles.
Based on the salesman’s complaint, an FIR was registered under sections 309(4) (robbery), 309(6) (causing hurt during robbery), 324(4) (damaging property valued between ₹20,000 to ₹1 lakh) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sadar Sohna police station on Friday.
Sandeep Turan, Gurugram police spokesperson, said the arrested suspects are aged 22 and 23 years and were apprehended from Abheypur village.
“ ₹52,00 looted from the store was recovered from the duo. One of the suspects is already accused in an assault case in Gurugram. Third suspect was still at large,” he added.
Police said efforts are underway to trace and arrest the third accused involved in the robbery.
