French tourist dies in hospital after health worsens in Karauli; wife files complaint

A 67-year-old French national died under mysterious circumstances in Rajasthan’s Karauli city, police said.

Lokesh Sonwal, Karauli superintendent of police (SP) said that a group of tourists reached Karauli where a France resident tourist, Jose Fernandes, was admitted to the hospital due to health issues. He died in the hospital during treatment.
Officials from the French Embassy were informed and the deceased person’s body was taken after post mortem.
Fernandes’ wife Nathali Fernandes has filed a complaint with the police.
Fernandes along with his wife Nathali and another colleague had come to Karauli on Monday where they visited the Madam Mohan temple.
After visiting the temple, he went back to his hotel in Karauli where he was rushed to Karauli district hospital due to deteriorating health the same night.
