Maharashtra woman on way to Delhi gang-raped near Jaipur railway station

Police said one of the three-four suspects approached the 35-year-old woman and promised to help her get a seat on a train to Delhi

JAIPUR: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped near the Jaipur railway yard late on Wednesday evening, police said.

Police said rape survivor’s husband told the police that they were going to Delhi, his wife stepped out of the station to buy food.

A man approached her on the pretext of getting her reservation on the train and took her to an isolated place near the rail yard, where three or four persons were present. The accused raped her.

The rape survivor is a resident of Maharashtra and got married six months with a resident of Nayla in Jaipur.

Police said a case under section 376(D) (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code has been lodged and probe is started.
