ABVP sets up ‘Rajju Bhaiya study circle’ on AU campus
Under the study circle, a subject will be selected, and all students will come prepared about that particular subject and speak on the same in a specified time and place—an initiative aimed at not only developing ability of students of putting across their thoughts on current and other relevant topics but also encouraging them to develop their own views on them.
Allahabad University (AU) unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) started ‘Rajju Bhaiya study circle’ in the faculty of Law, on Monday.
Under the study circle, a subject will be selected, and all students will come prepared about that particular subject and speak on the same in a specified time and place—an initiative aimed at not only developing ability of students of putting across their thoughts on current and other relevant topics but also encouraging them to develop their own views on them.
After everyone completes their turn of speaking, their performance and subject knowledge would be reviewed by a research scholar or professor.
According to AU unit president of ABVP, Shivam Singh, Saumya Sonkar has been appointed as convenor of this study circle. She is a student of the five-year BA-LLB course and Abhishek Singh, a student of LLB (honours) has been appointed as its co-convenor.
According to Saumya, the convenor of Swadhyay Mandal (study circle), “With this kind of academic initiative, we all will be able to strengthen our role to improve this society, and it will prove to be very beneficial for all the students. Today, on the first day, about 30 students/girls were present and in the same way, we will continue to work for more people to participate in it.”
Those who attended the maiden study circle included Abhinav Mishra, Saurabh Bhadoria, Shambhavi, Sakshi, Pratibha, Atul, Manikant, Dinkar, Suraj, Vanshika among many others.
