New Delhi: A clash broke out between two students outside Satyawati College in northwest Delhi’s Bharat Nagar on Tuesday during Delhi University Students’ Union polls campaigning, leaving both of them injured, police said on Wednesday.

After receiving the information, police teams reached the spot, and both were taken to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, where a medico-legal examination (MLC) was conducted. Police said they suffered minor injuries. (Representative photo)

The students were identified as Ansh Singh and Bhavishya Chaudhary, both 19. Two vehicles were also damaged during the clashes.

After receiving the information, police teams reached the spot, and both were taken to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, where a medico-legal examination (MLC) was conducted. Police said they suffered minor injuries.

“Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to establish the sequence of events and identify other accused, if any. Police are taking necessary legal action,” an officer said.

Police have not yet lodged an FIR in the matter. Queries sent by HT to the principals of Satyawati College (morning and evening) and Delhi University proctor Manoj Kumar Singh did not elicit a response.
