Four dead as speeding pickup vehicle hits car in Rajasthan: Police

Four people, including a family of three were allegedly killed in Rajasthan’s Barmer after a car collided with a pickup vehicle on Tuesday.

According to the superintendent of police (SP) Nitesh Arya, the accident occurred around 3 pm near Harsani Phanta on NH-68. Arya said that four people, including a couple and their child were in the car when a speeding pickup vehicle came from the opposite direction and rammed into it.

Four of them died on the spot and both vehicles have been mangled, said police.

The police with locals’ help retrieved the bodies and sent them to a district hospital’s mortuary.

Deputy SP Ramesh Sharma said the pickup vehicle was travelling towards Jaisalmer.
