Four people were killed and two others injured after a car plunged off a culvert in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district late Sunday night, police said.

The accident took place near Gadai village in the Pandariya area. Police said that all the victims were from the Birgaon area of Raipur and were travelling to Pandariya to attend a marriage ceremony.
According to police officers, the four-wheeler veered off the road at a sharp turn and fell nearly 40–50 feet from the culvert into a riverbed below.
“The impact left the vehicle completely mangled,” officers said.
The deceased were identified as Armaan Ali (20), Mohammad Saif (19), Anas Ali (21), and Konain (19), police said.
Two others, aged 19 and 21, sustained injuries and were initially taken to a nearby hospital and later shifted to separate medical facilities in Raipur for further treatment.
A case has been registered, and further investigation into the incident is underway, officers added.
