Bihar: Hardcore Maoist, involved in raising fund and recruiting cadre, arrested
The Maoist identified as Ramdular Yadav had been active for a decade and was involved in expanding the ultra-base.
SASARAM: A hardcore Maoist, allegedly active in extorting contractors and businessmen and involved in expanding the ultra-base, was arrested by a joint team of police and Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) on late Friday, officials said.

Police and SSB launched an area domination exercise to curb the naxal activities and to arrest their cadre active on the hilly forest areas of Kaimur plateau.
The Maoist identified as Ramdular Yadav of Banda village under Nauhatta police station had been active for a decade and was raising funds and recruiting cadres to strengthen the extremist organisation on the plateau, superintendent of police (SP), Ashish Bharti said on Saturday.
On a tip off that Yadav was to come to the market, the police and SSB cordoned off the area and launched a search. The Maoist was arrested when he was trying to escape after seeing the forces.
He confessed his involvement in cases of extortion and other activities for which 2 cases were already registered against him with Tilothu police station under sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful activities prevention Act (UAPA).
Officers interrogated the arrested Maoist and contacted their counterparts in adjacent districts of Bihar and bordering states of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for his criminal antecedent, SP Bharti said.
