Asia Cup 2025 Venues

The Asia Cup 2025 venues have been confirmed, and cricket fans can look forward to an exciting tournament in the United Arab Emirates. Matches will be played at two iconic grounds: the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The competition begins on September 9, 2025, with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi, and will run until September 28 with the final scheduled to be held in Dubai. This edition of the Asia Cup also returns to the T20 format, after the 2023 tournament was played as a 50-over event.

Originally, India was announced as the host nation. However, after the Pahalgam terrorist attack in early 2025 and rising political tensions between India and Pakistan, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) decided to move the tournament to a neutral venue. In July 2025, ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the UAE would host the Asia Cup.

The UAE is no stranger to big cricket tournaments. It has successfully hosted the Asia Cup, several IPL editions and other international competitions, making it the perfect location. With world-class facilities, excellent crowd management and easy international access, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are ready to welcome fans from across the globe.

The Asia Cup 2025 schedule will feature a total of 19 matches, with 11 games to be played in Dubai, including the final, and the remaining eight matches to be held in Abu Dhabi. Both venues are renowned for their ability to stage high-pressure games, with strong fan support expected throughout the tournament.

Moreover, the move to the UAE ensures a neutral ground for all participating nations, especially for high-stakes clashes such as India vs Pakistan.
