At a Special General Meeting on Sunday, members took five minutes to decide in favour of adopting the report in toto. “We had no option. We had to adopt the order which we have done,” HCA president, Arshad Ayub, a former India spinner, told HT.
Asked whether the SC’s interim order on October 21 to block grants to state units until they agreed to adopt the recommendations, he said: “Some of our members had approached the Hyderabad High Court and its order clearly stated we have to implement the Supreme Court order. We were also asked to give an undertaking in the High Court.
The BCCI argues that its affiliates are against adopting the Lodha report.
