"Any India-Pakistan game is a high pressure game, but for me, looking from the outside, must say Pakistan played superbly and were deserved winners. We also had a fantastic game and it's up to us to learn from where we went wrong, take the learnings and move on. Playing for India doesn't need motivation," says Ashwin.

"Not a lot of world teams get an opportunity to play a tournament like this before the T20 World Cup. Lot of good teams in this one from Asia and we are looking at this as preparation for the knockout games later on."

Sri Lanka, who won their opening Super Four contest against Afghanistan, need one more win to all but move into the final on September 11. India, on the other hand, desperately need a win to stay alive in the tournament after losing to Pakistan. It's resurgent Sri Lanka against India, who face test of survival. Two experienced spinners in India's eleven, as Ashwin joins Chahal to form a lethal pair. No Avesh Khan as Bhuvneshwar and Arshdeep are the two seamers, with Pandya coming in as an additional bowling option. India also have Hooda, who can chip in with a couple of overs.

Ravi Shastri says this is the same pitch that was used in the game against Pakistan. It looks a lot whiter and a lot drier. It was play really nicely, and will have a lot more for the spinners. Glad to see Ashwin in the side with Sri Lanka having quite a few left-handers. This would be a very good pitch for batting.

Sri Lanka haven't made any changes, while India have brought in Ashwin in place of Bishnoi.

"This is how the World Cup would be played as well, and we have to make sure that we don't lose too many games. We need to ensure that we are there from the word go. We have to learn a lot when you are defending a score like that," says Rohit Sharma.

"With the dew, we need to learn the lines, the lengths and the boundaries well. The grass is lesser tonight. It looks drier, and we have one change on the basis of the Sri Lankan team: Ashwin comes in for Bishnoi."

“We'll bowl first because of the record here. All the last three games have been chased down here. The approach has been outstanding by our batters and we hope to continue the same. The coaching staff and the players have created the environment for the new players to come in and deliver,” says SL skipper Dasun Shanaka.

"When you come to Dubai, the bounce is going to be different. Sri Lanka played their last match in Sharjah and they will have to adjust," reckons Manjrekar.

"It will be a lot easier. The grass will be drier. Not much sideways movement, only the bounce to deal with," Arnold says in his pitch report. "The surface will slow down a bit, maybe grip a bit. It always comes down to doing the right things at the right time. India will have to maintain the balance in the team."

Virat Kohli seems to be enjoying his game again as he hit form with successive half-centuries. His 44-ball 60, decorated with four fours and one six, was a big plus for India despite the defeat versus Pakistan. The spotlight will be on him as the top-three look to produce another impressive show.

There are no injury concerns on the Sri Lankan side, which means they could go with an unchanged eleven. On the other hand, India could alter their bowling unit, with Avesh, Axar or Ashwin waiting in the wings. Avesh is likely available for the game after missing the Pakistan tie with illness.

Hardik Pandya was the hero in India's group stage game against Pakistan but he perished for a two-ball duck in the Super 4 clash. He was also expensive with the ball. After the Pakistan defeat, Rohit admitted that losing wickets of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya in quick succession wasn't ideal, but insisted that his team will continue playing in the same fashion.

"We lost wickets in the middle, the two crucial wickets of Hardik and Rishabh were actually not needed at that point. But we want to come out with a very open mindset, play freely, so things like this can happen and we are ready to accept it," said Rohit in the post-match presentation.

"Moving forward, I think that is the kind of approach we want to take and I have said it many a times, while taking that approach we'll not always have success but as a team we are very much okay with that."

While fans expect Kohli and two openers to go all guns blazing against Sri Lanka from the word go, the middle order faces a stiff test after the last game. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda will try to forget the slip-up versus Pakistan and put up an impressive show in India's second Super 4 game.
