Indian cricket team superfan Sudhir Gautam relishes lunch with MS Dhoni
Sudhir Gautam is a name familiar to cricket lovers from across India. No matter where India are playing, one can always spot this diehard fan of Sachin Tendulkar in the stands, waving the Indian flag with his entire body painted to resemble the tricolour.
On Friday, Gautam’s selfless love for the game of cricket received acknowledgement from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni, who hosted the Tendulkar fan for lunch at his farmhouse in Ranchi.
Gautam shared the pictures of his meeting with former India skipper and his family on Twitter, terming it a special day.
Dhoni is currently spending his time with family after leading CSK to title glory in the recently concluded season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Under his leadership, the Chennai based franchise, who were returning to the cash-rich league after a two-year ban, beat the Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets to lift their third IPL title in Mumbai on May 27.
Dhoni himself was in a great form during the tournament amassing 455 runs from 16 matches. The 36-year-old will now be seen in action during tour of England and Ireland.
India are scheduled to play two T20s against Ireland beginning June 27 before taking on England in a three-match T20 series beginning July 3. After that, India will also lock horns with England in a five-match ODI series that starts on July 12.
