Rishabh Pant’s pink Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 health stretched to home turf as well as he completed another whirlwind fifty, off just 23 deliveries for Delhi Daredevils against Rajasthan Royals in a rain curtailed match here on Wednesday. Seven boundaries and three sixes helped him achieve the feat in just 40 minutes. (Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2018 - Highlights)

Rishabh Pant came after Prithvi Shaw’s tame dismissal and blazed off a six in no time, ensuring Delhi Daredevils stay on course of a sizeable total despite Stokes’ purposeful two-over spell of 2-0-13-0. (Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals, IPL 2018 - full cricket score)

That spell was the signal for Iyer to pipe down a bit though he carefully sliced Archer over backward point for a boundary. Pant however was in no mood to let go as he whacked Archer straight over long-on for a low six and get Daredevils to 99/2 in 10 overs.

Iyer looked more cautious at times but Pant was on his own trip, murdering a short Gowtham delivery through square-leg for four before going for a scoop by switching his stance.

Between the two, Pant was probably causing more trembling knees. The delivery that Dhawal Kulkarni finally got right after three wides rocketed through the covers. Next delivery was smashed harder, causing the fielder at covers to misfield. One more boundary off Ben Stokes and Pant had raced past Iyer before completing his fifty off just 23 balls.

He was ultimately dismissed for 69 by Jaydev Unadkat as Delhi Dardevils scored 196/6.
