The final round of group stage matches are here and one playoff spot still remains up for grabs in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. However, four teams - Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab - will have to fight it out among themselves in order to claim the final berth.

A look at how SRH, KKR, RR and KXIP can clinch the IPL 2019 playoff spot -

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad are best placed to reach the play-offs as a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore will more or less guarantee their spot. They have a superior net run rate (0.65) than their immediate competitor - Kolkata Knight Riders - and unless KKR can beat Mumbai Indians by a huge margin, a win should book their spot. If they lose, they can still qualify provided both KKR and Rajasthan Royals lose their final matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders

The win against Kings XI Punjab was quite crucial for Dinesh Karthik & Co as they are still in the running to claim the final playoff spot. They will have to win their final match against Mumbai Indians and hope that SRH lose their game against RCB on Saturday. KKR can still qualify even after losing their match against MI but for that to happen, SRH will have to lose by a huge margin with RR and KXIP also losing their matches.

Rajasthan Royals

With 11 points, RR are at a slight disadvantage and even if they beat Delhi Capitals, their fate will depend on the result of the other matches. A win for SRH or KKR will end their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. However, if both teams lose their matches, a win will be enough for RR to claim the final spot.

Kings XI Punjab

KXIP’s chances of reaching the playoffs are quite slim and with 10 points, it will take a miracle for them to reach the knockout stages. They will have to win their final game against Chennai Super Kings and hope that all the other teams lose by substantial margins in their respective encounters.
