IPL 2021 Highlights, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK): With 11 balls and 6 wickets to spare, MS Dhoni-led CSK regained the top spot in the standings with an emphatic win against Virat Kohli's RCB CSK started the chase on a very strong note, thanks to openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Faf du Plessis (31). They put on 71 runs for the first wickets. Virat Kohli took a brilliant catch diving forward off Chahal to send Gaikwad packing and soon after, Maxwell struck on his first ball by removing du Plessis. Moeen Ali (23) and Ambati Rayudu (32) then steadied CSK's chase and took them close to the target. Current “Purple Cap” holder Harshal Patel picked both their wickets as RCB eyed a late comeback. However, Suresh Raina (17) and Dhoni (11*) saw the team over the line. At the end of the first innings, the Chennai Super Kings were the happier side. Despite Virat Kohli (53) and Devdutt Padikkal (70) put on 111 runs for the opening stand and took RCB to 90/0 after 10 overs, RCB could manage to post 156/6 in 20 overs. The main reason being Dwayne Bravo, who returned with figures of 3/24 in his 4 overs. Moreover, Shardul Thakur also bagged two wickets. The start of the match and the toss were delayed due to a sandstorm in Sharjah.

Definitely not the Sharjah sandstorm.

The toss is next up! Let's find out what happens. This is going to be so exciting.

Glenn Maxwell, Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Probably need to make more runs, need to string together a few partnerships and take it from there, hopefully the last game was just a blip. I like to hit a few balls in the nets, have a run-out, catch a few balls and get used to the surroundings, keep myself as comfortable as I can. Not a lot has changed over the years, I have reached that stage where I can make my notes ahead of the game. Just adjust to the situation, read the situation, take a few balls and then play the way I know. That has been my usual routine over the years.

Pitch Report
“There were 220 sixes hit last year (at Sharjah) However, this wicket is patchy, you are not going to get the normal sheen. I actually think you should have a bowl here, just to see exactly how the wicket is going to play tonight,” reckons Kevin Pietersen
