LSG vs DC Highlights, IPL 2022: De Kock shines as Lucknow Super Giants beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets

The right-hand batter had scored a brisk half-century in the previous game and is in fine form over the past few months. 

DC can't relax; this is still LSG's game to lose.

And he picks a wicket! Evin Lewis departs! Playing on 5 off 12 deliveries, Lewis goes for a big hit on the on-side, but fails to get any timing whatsoever. He finds a top edge and Kuldeep Yadav takes a brilliant catch at mid-on.

Fine innings from the South African as he reaches the fifty-run mark in 36 deliveries. The South African shifted the momentum with the 19-run over against Nortje, and keeps the LSG firmly in control of the run-chase so far.

Will DC mount a comeback here?

Lewis goes for a sweep against Lalit Yadav but fails to time the ball. There's a massive appeal for LBW but the umpire stays unmoved. With only 2 seconds remaining on the timer, Pant opts for a review.

Review lost! DC lose both reviews. The ball goes just wide of the leg stump there. Unlucky!

The West Indian had failed to impress in the position in the previous game and would be aiming for an improved performance tonight.

Kuldeep draws first blood! KL Rahul is dismissed on 24. Rahul tries to go for a maximum straight down the ground, but doesn't get to the pitch of the delivery. Gets a thick edge and the ball sails long through the night sky. Good catch from Prithvi Shaw near long-off.

More of a review taken in desperation. De Kock goes for a reverse sweep but fails to get the bat in the line. The ball deflects off his gloves and there's a half-hearted LBW appeal. Pant takes the review, as DC lose their first.

And KL Rahul welcomes him with a towering six wide of long-on. Short from the left-armer Kuldeep and Rahul makes space, and pulls it away brilliantly. 

Tight from Axar Patel but what DC need here is a wicket. And perhaps some quick ones following the breakthrough. 

LSG are in cruise control of this game.

Rishabh Pant turns to experienced campaigner Axar Patel after the end of the strategic timeout. DC in desperate need of a wicket here.

Strong start for the Capitals in the Powerplay, as they reach 48 without the loss of a wicket in six overs.

Anrich Nortje's over might have hurt DC's early momentum in the game here.

Absolutely no respite from De Kock for his South African teammate. 19 runs off the over!

LSG did make a slow start but thanks to this over, they are now well beyond the required run rate – for now.

Not the start Nortje wanted on his much-awaited return to action. Short and wide, and De Kock smashes it away for a thumping cut. 

The batter then drives towards long off for a boundary.

UPDATE - Third successive four! Again towards long-off.

Lalit pitches a tad bit short as he comes around the wicket against De Kock, and duly gets punished. Brilliant pull from the South African left-hander on the occasion. 

De Kock follows it up with a strong drive through cover for two.

First four of the innings from KL Rahul as he plays a well-time flick.

Spin in the second over as all-rounder Lalit Yadav bowls the second over of the innings.

Only five off the first over including a wide. Two singles each for De Kock and Rahul.

We are set for the chase to begin. KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock open for the Lucknow Super Giants. Mustafizur Rahman to bowl the first over.

Delhi Capitals end their innings on 149/3 in 20 overs. After the start from Prithvi Shaw, there would be a feeling in the DC camp that they are probably 20-30 runs short here. 

Only three singles off the first three balls. Pant and Sarfaraz eye big hits but they can't time the ball properly, perhaps due to the variations in pace again.

It won't be a pleasing sight for the Capitals. KL Rahul is bringing out the towel after every delivery in Avesh Khan's 19th over. Pant and Sarfaraz would likely be swinging their bat at anything and everything in the final six balls.
