'Mbappe scored 3 goals in final as tribute': Babar Azam and Co. slammed after Pakistan hit all-time low in ENG whitewash

Fans slammed Babar Azam and Co. after hosts Pakistan were whitewashed by England in their three-match Test series.

Hosts Pakistan crashed to another defeat, losing by eight wickets against England on Day 4 of the third Test match, in Karachi. It also became the first time that Pakistan have been whitewashed at home, For the first time in history, they have lost four home Test matches in a row (one against Australia and three vs England).

Pakistan lost the first Test match by 74 runs, followed by a 26-run defeat in the second fixture. After the defeat in the third Test, cricket fans took to social media to troll Babar Azam and Co. for their shoddy displays through the series.

Taking to Twitter, one fan mocked Pakistan and also stated that Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick in the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final was a tribute to this result. "Mbappe Scored 3 goals in Final as a tribute to Pakistan's 3-0 loss to England at home. Azhar Ali scored 0 in his last innings as a tribute to Pakistan's 0 test series win against Australia in Australia", the fan wrote.

Another fan quipped, "Pakistan hyped their hospitality and invited England just to get whitewashed by them."

"England still ruling pakistan, in cricket", one fan wrote.

"Submissive tactics, clueless captaincy made a 3-0 whitewash easy for England, Pakistan needs to start asking questions otherwise this downward spiral will take them years to get out of it", another fan explained.

"Only Pakistan whitewashing England in England will heal me", said a fan.

Chasing a target of 167, England cruised to 170 for two in Day 4 with Ben Duckett remaining unbeaten after a knock of 82 runs off 78 balls. Duckett also clobbered 12 fours. Meanwhile, England Test captain Ben Stokes also remained unbeaten and hammered a knock of 35 runs off 43 balls, including three fours. Initially, Pakistan were bowled out for 304 in their first innings as Babar Azam registered 78 runs off 123 balls. Jack Leach was in good form and took four wickets during the first innings. In response, England reached 354 as Harry Brook slammed a ton (111 runs off 150 balls). Nauman Ali took four wickets for Pakistan during England's first innings. Then in the second innings, a half-century by Babar helped Pakistan post 216, setting a target of 167 runs. Rehan Ahmed was in blistering form and took five wickets for England during the second innings.
