MI, RCB fined for over-rate

Champions Mumbai Indians and runner-up Royal Challengers Bangalore were fined for slow over rate during Sunday’s Champions League T20 final at the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Champions Mumbai Indians and runner-up Royal Challengers Bangalore were fined for slow over rate during Sunday’s Champions League T20 final at the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

A release from the CLT20 organisers said Royal Challengers Bangalore were fined $750 per player and the losing captain Daniel Vettori $1500 for being one over behind the required over rate.

Mumbai Indians were fined $ 1500 per player while victorious captain Harbhajan Singh was fined $3000 for being two overs behind the required over rate. All players in the starting eleven received the penalty.
