From Jacques Rudolph killing a bird with a throw from the deep to Andrew Strauss smashing his sunglasses into pieces, there have been many bizarre moments that were witnessed in cricket. There can never be a dull moment on cricket field, and those playing in the Victorian Premier League in Australia recently witnessed the same. The latest is an addition from the match between Footscray Edgewater and Fitzroy Doncaster.
It is a common sight to see a player getting injured while in action, but the count went up as high as three when Footscray Edgewater and Fitzroy Doncaster took on each other.
The incident took place earlier this year in January, but the video that was uploaded right after has gone viral now.
It all began when a hard swipe towards the mid-on area from the striker went on to hit his partner who was backing up nicely. Even though the non-striker leapt in the air to miss the ball, he could not prevent in hitting him on the heels.
The non-striker recovered soon, and even started off for a run but realised that his partner had strained his shoulder in what looked like was a mis-hit with a lot of power.
The ball went out of play and while the bowler walked back to his run-up mark, the fielder who had come in from mid-off picked it up and hurled it towards the bowler. The bowler, not observing that the throw was coming in, was hit on the face.
