Siddhesh Veer is a left-handed all-rounder from Maharashtra who came through the state's age-group system before making his mark at the international youth level. He represented Maharashtra across the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 age groups and was named the state's best all-rounder in 2018 and 2019, earning his India Under-19 call-up in the process.
Veer was drafted into India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup in South Africa after replacing the injured Divyansh Joshi. He had already impressed in the preceding quadrangular series, scoring 71 against New Zealand and an unbeaten 48 in the final against South Africa, while also contributing with the ball. He went on to feature in India's World Cup campaign, where they finished as runners-up.
His transition to senior cricket was less immediate, with Veer having to wait for regular opportunities in Maharashtra's side. He made his first-class debut in the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy and began to establish himself as a dependable middle-order batter who could also contribute with his right-arm off-spin. His breakthrough season came in 2024-25, when he finished as Maharashtra's leading run-scorer with 418 in 6 games, including his second first-class century against Jammu & Kashmir, making 127, and began to find greater consistency in the senior setup. The following year, he made a fighting 131 against Tripura, his then career- best in first-class cricket.
Veer enjoyed a particularly impressive Maharashtra Premier League campaign in 2025, starring for the Raigad Royals and finishing as the tournament's leading run-scorer with 450 runs in 11 matches. He struck a blistering 101 off 58 balls during the season and carried that form into the final, producing a superb unbeaten 99 off 59 balls against the Eagle Nashik Titans. His effort included 11 fours and four sixes, although Raigad Royals ultimately fell six wickets short of the title after Nashik chased down 191 with five balls to spare.
