Former cricketers Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman led wishes for India’s vice-captain in limited-overs cricket, Rohit Sharma, on Monday as the ‘Hitman’ turned 31.

Sehwag made a typical social media post in which Rohit’s face was morphed into a Salman Khan poster from his movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Sehwag’s post read ‘Talent Zinda Hai’ in praise of Rohit, adding that the cricketer has a huge reserve of talent.

Rohit, who has so far played 25 Tests, 180 ODIs and 79 T20Is for India having made his debut in 2007, has been one of the best batsmen particularly in limited-overs cricket. Apart from scoring a world record three double centuries in ODIs, Rohit also has a T20I hundred to his name.

The right-handed batsman is currently busy with the Indian Premier League (IPL), wherein his team Mumbai Indians (MI) is once again facing an uphill task of winning all their remaining league matches in order to strengthen their chances of making it to the IPL 2018 play-offs.

Rohit himself began the tournament on a poor note with scores of 15, 11 and 18, but bounced back with a match-winning 94 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). A few nights ago, his gritty unbeaten 56 guided Mumbai Indians to only their second win so far in IPL 2018, over the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
