“About 15-16 men from the self-styled group Rastriya Swabhiman Dal, with its base in Ghaziabad, had put up a poster at Akbar Road-Mansingh Road intersection around 5 pm. They were detained and released later,” said Madhur Verma, DCP (New Delhi).
The road comes under the jurisdiction of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). The NDMC said they have not received any proposal or orders to rename any road in the area. “I am not aware about such a renaming incident. Also, we can’t rename a road unless we get approval in the council meeting,” said Naresh Kumar, NDMC chairman
