Around 300 kg of firecrackers, bearing different trademarks, were found stashed at 40-year-old Mukesh Jindal's storage warehouse on Hastsal Road in Uttam Nagar while a raid at a shop, owned by one Rohit Sharma, 22, in Janakpuri yielded 204 kg of crackers, said V. Renganathan, additional commissioner of police (west)."On November 12, Jindal's godown, located at lane number one in Hastsal Road's A-block was raided after the receipt of information that he had stored firecrackers without obtaining a mandatory licence," said Renganathan.

A day earlier, police said, a raid at Sharma's shop, where he sells cleaning items, was conducted and the illegally-stored crackers were recovered."Sharma took to storing these to supplement his earnings. In both instances, the owners of the premises were asked to produce a licence, which they could not produce," he added.
