25-year-old’s body found with multiple stab wounds

The body of a 25-year-old man with at least 15 stab wounds was discovered at an isolated spot in south Delhi's Okhla area on Sunday morning, police said. The incident came to light around 11.30am when a passerby made a call to the police control room.

The victim has been identified as Abu Farid, a resident of Abul Fazal Enclave area in Jamia Nagar. Though the exact reason behind the murder could not be ascertained, police suspect that he was murdered due to personal enmity. Farid had been released from Tihar merely 10 days ago, said a police officer.

“There were at least 15 stab wounds on his body which indicated he was murdered brutally by his rivals. A case of murder has been registered at the Okhla police station,” added the officer.
