Noida Deputy Chief Executive Officer, C.B.Singh said the banquet halls, constructed by International Recreation Parks Private Limited (IRPPL) at the Entertainment city complex, were found unauthorized.

“This place was for recreational activity but it was put to commercial use and banquet halls were built,” Singh said.

“They were served notices but they continued the activity. We demolished the unauthorized structures,” said Singh.

IRPPL Vice President, Benu Sehgal told HT, “These were temporary structures and we thought there was no need for permissions as permanent structures were not built. We explained this to the authority staff. However, if they feel any permission is required, we will apply for the same.”
