“The incident took place around 1.30pm in Yamuna Vihar’s C5 block and the victim has been identified as Deepak Kumar Rajora,” said a senior police officer.
Police said Rajora was standing outside his house when some unknown assailants fired at him.
“The bullet hit Deepak square in the head and he is understood to have died on the spot. He was immediately rushed to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” said the officer.
“We suspect business rivalry to be the motive behind the murder. We will talk to his family and friends to ascertain more details,” the officer added.
