Ramneet Singh, 23, was pushing his luxury sedan to the limit by pushing hard on the gas pedal. His friend, Neha Bindra, was seated beside him.
It did not take Singh long to lose control over the wheel and the car hit the road divider. Such was the impact of the accident that before coming to a halt the car rolled over 100 metres on the road. Singh, who was not wearing a seat belt, died on
the spot while Neha, who was cushioned on her seat tightly behind a seat belt, survived the accident.
A business management student, Singh had returned from a holiday in Singapore on Wednesday.
The accident was reminiscent of the February 20 Lamborghini crash on the BRT corridor in which a business scion was killed. He, too, was not wearing a seat belt.
