Airport metro will reopen by Diwali

The Airport Metro Express, which links the New Delhi railway station to the IGI Airport and Dwarka, is expected to start operations in November.

Services on the 22.7 km high-speed line, which also catered to locals, were suspended on July 8 after damage to bearings and clips was detected.


Since then, DMRC has been repairing the corridor. “Repairs would be done in a few days. By early next month, the service will resume,” said Jitendra Tyagi, director (works), DMRC.
