Bangladeshi robbers’ gang busted, 2 held

With the arrest of two Bangladeshi citizens, the south Delhi police, on Tuesday, claimed to have busted a gang of burglars involved in more than 50 cases of burglary and robbery.

With the arrest of two Bangladeshi citizens, the south Delhi police, on Tuesday, claimed to have busted a gang of burglars involved in more than 50 cases of burglary and robbery.

The gang used to enter farmhouses and residences after cutting open the grills and breaking locks.

In some cases, if burglars found the house occupants inside, they reportedly overpowered them at gunpoint and locked them in a room before committing the robbery, the police said.

The arrested people were identified as Mizan Ali, 28, resident of Khulla district in and Amir Hassan, 22, hailing from Dinaspur.

Stolen property, including jewellery, 12 laptops, LCDs, eight watches etc worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered from them, the police said. Mizan is the kingpin of the gang.
