Body found on rail tracks

A 45-year-old unidentified man's body was recovered from the railway tracks in east Delhi's Vivek Vihar area on Sunday, police said. HT reports.

A 45-year-old unidentified man's body was recovered from the railway tracks in east Delhi's Vivek Vihar area on Sunday, police said.

"The body was recovered at 10 a.m. but the victim is yet to be identified," said a senior police officer. Police said the body reeked of alcohol and the victim was shabbily dressed. "It seems the victim was an alcoholic. No apparent injury marks have been found on his person suggesting that it might be a case of natural death," the officer said.

The police said the body had been sent to the GTB Hospital for post-mortem examination.
