After two hours of intense search, the Delhi Police bomb squad told the hospital authorities that it was a hoax call.
“A PCR call claimed there was bomb in our hospital. Our police picket was informed around 4.15pm. But by 6.30pm, we were told there was nothing to worry about and we could continue working normally,” said Dr CM Khanijo, medical superintendent.
According to sources, 10 separate CATS ambulances were called in to transfer patients if needed. The critically ill patients were already moved to the nearby Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital.
“Our doctors and other staff were ready for any eventuality, but fortunately it was not required. The bomb squad told us that it was safe,” added Khanijo.
