The CISF security personnel deployed at the airport received a complaint from one Jitender Singh, claiming his belongings and passport have been stolen from outside T3.
The CISF personnel immediately scanned CCTV footages and the cab driver was identified as Ruplal of Meru Cabs, the official said. He was later traced and was handed over to the airport police.
When contacted, Meru Cabs CEO Rajesh Puri said that the company has "terminated" the services of the driver after he admitted to the crime.
"We have a strict policy against such incidents. The driver will now not be employed by us again," Puri said.
