"It is a very serious matter. We have asked the Madhya Pradesh government to send a report immediately," a Home Ministry official said.

About 600 tonnes of explosives sent from a Rajasthan-based factory have gone missing on their way to Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh.

The 61 trucks carrying the explosives were sent from Rajasthan Explosives and Chemicals Limited (RECL) in Dholpur to a trading company in Sagar 'Ganesh Magazine'.

The explosives were sent over a period of four months between April to July and estimated to be worth Rs 1.30 crore.

Sagar IG Anvesh Manglam had said there was a possibility that the explosives may have fallen into wrong hands.
